This juice not only aides detoxification, is rich in nutrients, but it’s also very delicious and tastes more like lemonade than a green drink. Depending on the type of juicer you have, the portions may have to vary a bit.
I used the Breville Juicer and the following ratios worked well:
All items are Organic, which is especially important with citrus.
1 bundle of Kale
1/2 bag baby Spinach (~3oz)
1 bundle of Parsley
1/2 Lemon, large, with peel
1 Lime no peel
1-2 cubes of Ginger
2-3 Apples depending on size
In my juicer this produces ~ 32 oz of Juice–10 oz of greens and 20 oz of fruit
Cut bottoms off of greens and parsnip, cut out apple cores, peel ginger and lime. Wash everything in cold water (perhaps even in a vinegar bath). (even though bagged spinach is usually pre-washed, I give it a quick rinse)
Squeeze items through as per your juicer instructions.
note: I add apples last because items like ginger, that have less juice, don’t pass through as easily and tend to hang back in juicer.
Add 3 cubes of ice to pitcher and stir. 2 cubes of ice to each 16 oz glass, pour and serve.
